April 26th USPS Rate Changes
USPS Ground Advantage™, Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, and Parcel Select are increasing their rates by 8%.

Yes, postage rates just went up on July 12, 2026, marking the latest in a series of frequent price hikes by the U.S. Postal Service to offset a severe financial crisis and rising operational costs.
The total timeline of all recent postage and shipping increases covers multiple waves of rate hikes.
July 12, 2026: Mailing Services Increase This wave raised market-dominant mailing prices by an average of 4.8%.First-Class Mail Forever Stamp: Increased from 78¢ to 82¢.Metered 1-ounce Letters: Increased from 74¢ to 78¢.Domestic Postcards: Increased from 61¢ to 65¢.International Letters & Postcards: Increased from $1.70 to $1.75.Certified Mail Fee: Increased from $5.30 to $5.55.Commercial Ground Advantage: Eliminated ounce-based pricing for sub-pound packages (1–15.999 oz), drastically increasing tracked small package shipping costs by 36% to 43% for certain tiers.
